When task manager finally popped up (after 45 mins of grinding HDD), process was only using 1.8GB memory, so idk. textures, literally had to wait 45 minutes for my computer to respond (HDD grinding - felt like some kind of EXTREMELY, OUTLANDISHLY bad memory leak). textures with pretty bad performance (very choppy), reverted to non-virt. Update is unplayable, it started in reasonable time with virt. Originally posted by -|TBG|- HeatSurge:R9 290, 13.12 final, win7 圆4. Too hard to impossible to spin out and the car doesn't feel like it has "weight." Maybe the increased gravity is to blame, maybe it's something that can be tweaked by mods. the art seems good but the handling is a bit too "arcade-y" IMO as well (from what I gathered playing a bit of "update 1"). Uninstalling the alpha until it's a bit more mature, done wasting time and bandwidth for now. I don't like controllers, and the whole menu screams "console port" even though I guess it's not? I'm not sure if some existing codebase was reused, but anyway - not a good start as far as I'm concerned. Regardless, I'm unhappy with the main menu starting with a "start game" screen and then having button controls at the bottom.
